Terms for boutiques
Nima Collective lists your pieces and sends shoppers to your own Shopify checkout. You remain the seller. We take a commission on what we bring you.
You are the seller, throughout
- You are the merchant of record. You take the payment, in your own account.
- You set your prices. We display them as they are and never discount without you.
- You ship, and you handle returns and refunds under your own policy.
- The customer is yours. We do not email them, do not market to them, and do not use their details for anything of our own.
Commission
- 15.45% of the goods total on orders we send you — before shipping and before tax, and after any discount you gave. We do not take a cut of postage or of tax.
- Only orders we actually sent. Every order carries a reference we issued. No reference and no live referral, no commission — a sale you made yourself is yours entirely.
- A referral lasts 30 days. When we send a shopper to you, orders they place with you in the next 30 days are ours, whether or not they came back through us. It is per order and first-touch, the way affiliate and channel referrals normally work — the shopper who thinks about it for a week, or comes back on a different phone, was still someone we sent you.
The clock starts once and is not extended by a later purchase. After 30 days that shopper is simply yours, and every order shows on your statement which of the two reasons applied. - The rate on the day is the rate that sticks. It is recorded against each order when the order is captured, so a later change never rewrites what was already owed.
- Refunds come back. Refund an order and the commission on the refunded part is reversed, at the rate that was stamped on it.
- Charged through Shopify’s billing, on your normal Shopify invoice.
- You can set a monthly cap. Anything above it is carried to the next month rather than written off.
If we change the rate
A reduction takes effect immediately. An increase is told to you at least 15 days before it applies, and you may leave in that window rather than accept it. Every change is recorded with who made it and why. If you are established in the EU or UK these are your rights under the Platform-to-Business Regulation, not a courtesy.
Advertising your pieces
We advertise the marketplace, and your pieces appear in it. Two things follow from that, and you should know both before you list.
- Your catalogue is published to advertising platforms. Title, description, price, images, availability and the attributes we derive from your own words go into a product feed read by Meta, Google and similar. It is the same information already public on your listing pages.
- Sales are reported back as measurement. When an order arrives from a shopper we referred, we tell the platform that showed the advertisement that it led to a sale — the pieces, the amount, and a click identifier. Any email address used to match is hashed before it leaves us; we never send a shopper’s name or address, and we never send anything about a shopper who did not buy.
- You can be excluded. Tell us and we will keep your catalogue out of the advertising feed while still listing you on the marketplace. Nothing about your commission changes.
Joining and leaving
- We review applications. We may decline, and we tell you why.
- Leave whenever you like by uninstalling the app. Your catalogue comes down and your data is erased within 48 hours.
- Commission already earned before you leave remains payable, and our record of it is kept as long as tax law requires.
- We may suspend a boutique that misrepresents its goods, cannot fulfil, or breaks Shopify’s terms — and we will say which.
What we ask of you
- That you can actually supply and ship what you list.
- That your descriptions and photographs are your own and are accurate.
- That a piece shown as reduced was genuinely sold at the higher price. We display your compare-at price as you set it and never invent one.
